How would your company like to become a provider of SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS (2009 turnover of EUR 82B, 150 000 employees), the biggest manufacturer of memory chips and flat screen TVs in the world?

In order to boost the growth of French innovative companies in the field of ICT, Ubifrance’s London branch for economic development is organising a meeting day with a team of purchasing officers from SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS.

The main domain of interest will be cell phone hardware. Samsung is currently the second biggest cell phone manufacturer after Nokia, having managed a stable growth of its market share despite a bearish context. With sales expected to grow by 10% in 2010, Samsung claims that it will especially focus on medium to top-of-the-range touch screen phones and on multifunction devices in developed countries.

The planned networking day will be organised by Samsung UK’s R&D and Technological Partnership departments. It will enable participants to present their know-how to the brand’s senior purchasers, some of whom have come specially from Korean headquarters. The event is expected to be a major annual meeting uniting Europe’s most creative ICT companies.
