Oséo-CNC RIAM Call for proposals: apply now!
On the 24th of December 2009, The French National Centre for Cinema and Animated Picture (CNC) signed its second partnership agreement with Oséo, unleashing EUR 10M in 2009 for RIAM (the CNC’s Research Network for Innovation in Audio-visual technology and Multimedia). 15 projects received financing in 2009.
The Oséo-CNC RIAM call for proposals has been going on since 2007. It is an open call, meaning that projects may be submitted throughout the year, provided that they regard the production, channelling and distribution of interactive or non-interactive images and/or sound, in a linear or non-linear form.
Application conditions and fund allocation
This call for proposals appeals to projects undertaken by a single company or several, but in no way implying research labs (except for sub-contracting). Projects may receive support from the very beginning to the end stages of development.
Once received, project proposals are reviewed and presented to RIAM’s executive committee, which gathers every eight weeks. Nominated projects receive a grant (to be reimbursed later) as well as a subsidy.
This helps companies to smoothly manage expenditures linked to the project’s conception, to technical and commercial viability expertises, to R&D, to prototype development, patenting, market launch, search for partners, etc.
Coming submission dates : 1st of July, 1st of September, 1st of October, 2nd of November, 1st of December 2010.
