Open World Data: Call for participation



The Open World Forum Call for participation

For the first time ever, the Open World Forum will be opened to the general public during an entire day dedicated to Open Source Do-It-Yourself, on Saturday, September 24th 2011, in Paris, France. Makers and doers, artists and designers, non-profit organizations and start-ups, all key actors of the Internet of Things are invited to send their application to participate.

They will be selected regarding two main criteria:

  • proposing connected products (Internet of Things) being under Open Source license (Copy left, Creative Commons or GPL)
  • enabling interaction with the audience.

Selected attendees will be able to show their creations, mingle with other makers and meet visitors all along the day. This Open World Forum’s DIY/Experiment Day will be a major event for the Open Source DIY this September.

About the Open World Forum

The Open World Forum is the leading global summit meeting bringing together decisionmakers, communities and developers to cross-fertilize open technological, economic and social initiatives, in order to build the digital future. The event was founded in 2008 and now takes place every year in Paris, with over 180 speakers from 40 countries, an international audience of 1,500 delegates in 2010.
