The Green Digital Growth Prize

The Green Digital Growth Prize is co-organised by Cap Digital along with prominent state agencies (ADEME, Oséo…) and industrial organisations (MEDEF, Alliance TICS…) The second edition of this annual prize aims at:

  • rewarding the creation and development of digital services that favour sustainable development
  • spreading good practices and new technologies via concrete examples
  • Kick-start new markets in  ICT and sustainable development

The Green Digital Growth Prize is actually a set of five separate rewards:

1. The digital sustainable company prize

This prize is rewarded to a company which has substantially improved its results in terms of environmental preservation thanks to ICT. This prize is open to all industries except the digital sector.

2. The SME prize for digital innovation in favour of sustainable development

A prize which rewards a company which has created solutions or services based on digital technologies that serve the cause of sustainable development.

3. The eco-responsible prize for companies of the digital sector

This prize targets ICT companies (whether they focus on hardware, networks, services or usages) that are engaged in reducing the environmental footprint of their products and services.

4. The higher education and research prize

A prize which rewards initiatives lead by scientists and scholars, may they be students, young entrepreneurs or researchers.

5. The jury’s favorite

This prize rewards an original, bizarre or exciting initiative. No rules apply to the Jury in choosing a winner for this prize.

The Green Digital Growth prize is open to any company based in France. Projects may be submitted until the end of September 2010. The five nominees will be announced early November and a reward ceremony will be held end of November.
